Little Hearts Child Development Center, in partnership with the Hill Country Community Needs Council, is set to address the critical childcare shortage in Fredericksburg and Gillespie County through an ongoing project led by Fletco Construction. The facility, spanning approximately 9,000 square feet, will feature an extensive 8,000-square-foot playground. Notable amenities include a commercial kitchen, indoor play gym, family restroom, mother’s room, laundry facilities, and a conference room. Rigorous security measures will be integrated to ensure the safety of all occupants. Little Hearts and the Hill Country Community Needs Council envision this project as a pivotal solution to meet the childcare demands of the community, demonstrating Fletco Construction’s dedication to creating impactful and functional spaces.

This project features the construction of a new 22,031 square-foot facility that includes a 18,938 square-foot Fire Station and a 3,093 square-foot Clinic. The Fire Station is built using structural steel framing with CMU load-bearing and infill walls, designed to accommodate essential emergency operations. The facility includes four apparatus bays, along with specialized areas such as a gear wash, workshop, compressor room, training and meeting spaces. Additionally, the station offers 8 dorm rooms with supporting restrooms and showers, a fully-equipped kitchen, day room, dining area, and a watch office for 24/7 operations.

The Clinic, constructed with structural steel and metal stud framing, provides exam rooms, a waiting area, a break room, and features a Porte Cochere for convenient patient drop-offs.

The site work includes concrete sidewalks, aprons, and an asphalt-paved parking lot to accommodate vehicles. The perimeter of the facility is secured with a 6-foot chain link fence on three sides, providing both security and accessibility.

This comprehensive facility is designed to meet the needs of the community, offering both critical fire response services and healthcare amenities in one cohesive structure.

Situated conveniently at the intersection of FM 1788 and Hwy 191, our project is part of the GreatSmith Industrial Park, comprising four buildings spread across different plots. With 2,000 square feet of office space and 2,880 square feet of shop space, tailored to diverse industry needs, they ensure seamless workflow and efficiency, thanks to features like a 5-ton crane. Each building offers ample parking with nine asphalted spaces per building for employees and visitors. Enhanced security measures, including fully fenced premises with 6’+1′ security fencing, prioritize the safety of assets. These outstanding features are the product of our design-build services, where our team meticulously crafts every detail to exceed client expectations and contribute to their business success.

The 3rd Addition to Yellowhouse includes a new 12,000 sq. ft. building with 2,000 sq. ft. of office space and 10,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space. A single-story, 1,640 square foot metal stud-framed building is being constructed in Winkler County to serve as a commissary for Meals on Wheels. This state-of-the-art facility will include a fully-equipped commercial kitchen designed for large-scale meal preparation, a functional office space for administrative tasks, ample dry storage for non-perishable food items and supplies, a large-capacity freezer to ensure the freshness and safety of perishable goods, and convenient restroom facilities for staff. The site development will feature adequate parking for staff and delivery vehicles, durable paving for smooth transportation and logistics, and comprehensive utility extensions to support the building’s operations, including water, electricity, and sewage systems. Expected to be completed by September 16, 2024, this $1,100,000 project exemplifies Fletco Construction’s commitment to community support and excellence in building design and functionality.
